Vibration-Proof, Self-Locking Fastener Breakthrough

The revolutionary "TineLokTM" Vibration-Proof Nut and Bolt system has been called "one of the most significant fastener developments to emerge in 25 years". First and foremost, "TineLok", (formerly known as PermanenTech), offers a breakthrough design patented as a one-way nut and bolt combination, which locks the nut and bolt into place at preset intervals, preventing vibration. Counter rotation of the tined-nut, without additional adjustment, secures the positive lock-in action. Simple to install the bolt has longitudinal notched channels, a narrow mouth leading to a wide throat and permits the tined nut to couple with the thread. It is tamper-proof. For product inspection purposes a special nut removal tool is available.
The system has seven (7) USA patents, two Canadian patents, and patents pending in the UK, EU, China and industrialized South American countries.
Critical tests subjected "TineLok" to more than 7000 "Junker-Shaker" test cycles without loosening or vibration, while others failed at 3800 cycles. Further tests exhibited 400% greater reverse torque characteristics than other fasteners. Non-clamp-load dependent, it is corrosion-free and not labor intensive.
Available in metal or injection molded materials and in standard or in custom sizes. U-shape, S-shape and J-shape hanger type sub-assemblies are also offered.
Soon after introduction the system won a First Place Award as "Best Product in Category for 2002" in competition held by Design News editors. Later, Product Design and Development editors named "TineLok" among its top ten, overall, "Best Products" for 2002.
