Vibration-Proof Fastener System Named "Best Product of the Year"
Valhalla, New York –
The PermanentechTM, vibration-proof, self-locking, fastener system which will not loosen regardless of seat torque has been designated as "Best Product of 2002" in the fastening, joining and assembly category, by an independent panel of judges for an annual competition sponsored by a leading design engineering journal.
In a statement issued by the panel it was noted that "During a standard vibration resistance test (conducted by the panel), the (Permanentech) design more than doubled the number of cycles withstood by other fasteners before the test was halted because no vibration took place."
Designed to help make products safer, lower warranty costs and prolong equipment life by eliminating vibration, Permanentech Fasteners are manufactured with metal or injection molded materials and are lightweight, non-corrosive and tamper-resistant. Available in standard and custom sizes, the nut-and-bolt system is seen as a breakthrough advance for a variety of applications including, aerospace, automotive, marine, off-road vehicles, industrial machinery, military, roads and bridges, railroads, petrochemical and heavy duty steel construction.
